“Being part of the Customer Voice panel has given me new insights into how Platform works, as well as confidence in understanding my own rights as a tenant. It’s also been interesting to see how they want to help in many other ways beyond providing me with a home”, explains Christina.
“Since becoming a member I have taken part in a range of activities, from community fun days to holiday events and seen first-hand how my feedback contributes to improvements in services.”
For Christina, one of the most rewarding parts of being involved has been the opportunity to share her knowledge with others.
“By better understanding repairs and how the customer hub works, I’m able to help my neighbours and friends navigate services and also provide feedback on what works for us as customers.
“It’s great that I can give my opinion without being told it’s wrong and also help others understand things better by sharing my views on improving customer communications and processes.”
Christina is passionate about the importance of customers having a voice in shaping services, believing that listening to customers is the only way an organisation can truly improve.
“Customers are the reason the Platform runs, so if we don’t get listened to, the business just won’t improve and deliver the services we need.”
Being a trusted Customer Voice Panel member has also given Christina a deeper appreciation of how Platform works, the challenges it faces in delivering services and the real difference customers’ voices can make.
When asked what she would say to others about getting involved she said, “Do it – you’ve got nothing to lose and so much to gain!”.
She also summed up her experiences in three words: Interesting, Insightful, Understanding.
Do it – you’ve got nothing to lose and so much to gain!
When Christina was first invited along to an open day, she didn’t expect it to be the start of an ongoing journey with Platform. After being asked for her opinion at the event, she soon realised her voice could help make a real difference, so she decided to apply to become a Customer Voice Panel member and was successful in her bid to get involved.
