When they had the chance to view a bungalow in the small village of Ratby they knew it was the perfect fit. The village’s quiet streets and close-knit atmosphere appealed immediately. “It’s a lovely community,” Debbie says. “I’m a chatty person, and here you can stop and talk to people - it’s just nice.” 

The move itself was straightforward. From first viewing to key handover, everything went smoothly, with all the documents handled quickly and easily. Debbie remembers taking the call to say the bungalow was theirs while she was out shopping. “I could have kissed the lady on the phone,” she laughs. “It was just such a happy moment.” 
 
Now happily settled, Debbie and her husband enjoy the comfort and security of their new home. Surrounded by friendly neighbours, they feel part of the community and content knowing this is where they want to stay. “The people at Platform have been absolutely lovely from start to finish,” she says. “We couldn’t have asked for anything better. 

Debbie and her husband had both worked full-time until their recent retirement. Having always owned their own home, they later moved into a static mobile home — but it wasn’t quite what they wanted for the long term.
