Throughout the year our Community Engagement Officers work with customers and partners in neighbourhoods to deliver regular community engagement activities and offer support to local organisation and charities. Â
Your Community

Each year, we hit the road with our Communities Connected programme - a series of events designed to bring customers, colleagues, and partners together.
These events celebrate your local community and focus on making a positive difference around shared community priorities.

Our 2024-25 £160k Community Chest Fund supported charities, clubs, and not-for-profit organisations that were making a positive difference in our local communities.
Applications were invited from groups who could show how their project or initiative would benefit you and your neighbours. Every application was carefully assessed and approved by customers from the Customer Voice Panel, putting your voice at the heart of the decision-making process.

Our Community Heroes Awards shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes who go above and beyond to make a real difference in their local community and to others.
Thanks to the generous support of our event sponsors, eight outstanding individuals were recognised as Community Heroes in 2025.

Community Reps Â
We’re proud to work with 86 volunteer Community Reps who help strengthen the connection between Platform and our local neighbourhoods.
Working alongside our Community Engagement Officers, they play a vital role in helping us make sure your community is a safe, friendly, and welcoming place that you’re proud to call home.
